Dash Care
Re: Jon's question about hot to treat the dash and not make it shiny
(thereby avoiding the noxious Armorall gleam...)
As a long-time Datsun Z owner (and thereby one in perpetual war with
dash cracks) my favorite treatement is Vaseline.
RIGHT. Vaseline. Wait for a warm day, rub it onto the dash (not
over speaker grilles, and remember that heat will make it run) and
then park it in the sun. Wait all day, wipe off that night. This
does NOT leave the dash sticky, nor shiny. It is a bit messier than
the spray on-wipe off stuff, but it works for my Z.
