Mike-
As far as the center console is concerned it lookes like there are two 
different bases.  One for the 2.8 which has one square cubby and the 
mounting area for the armrest and another for the 1.8t that has a long 
rectangular cubby.  I'm not sure if you'd have to replace the base or not?

Vince how about some part numbers/interchangeability??
