That's a good sign. When I hydrolocked my coupe the engine would not turn
afterwards. When I finally got around to pulling the head to store it
(ditched the block) there was a scar in cylinder wall #2 which prevented the
piston from reaching TDC. Could turn the crank 358 degrees each way, just
wouldn't go all the way round.
You've got the water out, check the compression, dry everything well - like
take out the air cleaner (dried mine in the oven), the alternator and
starter need to be dried too probably. Make sure the water is all out of
the intake and vacuum hoses. General recommendation is to change fluids
like crazy, to remove contamination. (Oil, and more?)
See if it runs. You may be okay. Good luck.
