RE: Rally cars (was quattro wagon)
Paul-
Just wanted to let you know that I agree with you completely on the
issue of having a budget. Working with someone who has built several of
the most successful Porsche race cars ever built for the past 25+ years
(i.e. my dad) for both SCCA and IMSA road racing as well as SCORE/HDRA
Off-road racing, I can assure you that there is a wealth of knowledge
and experience to go from. Not only is there the know-how behind the
project, but there is also the abilities and facilities to make this car
become a reality. If I did not have the experience of my dad behind me,
BELIEVE me I would NOT even think about attempting to build a car such
as this.
BTW the price on the car does include all welding (which we have both
Heliarc and Mig welders), materials (i.e. 4130 chromoly tubing for the
rollcage), complete fire system, TRW Sabelt 5-point race belts, etc.
Believe me when I say, I have someone with a vast amount of experience
building competitive race cars, to design and build my car. BTW I failed
to mention that I am getting many of the parts for my car for free, or
at a greatly reduced price, in exchange for ad space and promotional use
of the car. If you have any more questions, please let me know.
Best Regards,
Mark Nelson
