20v turbo hiccup

My '91 200q sometimes exhibits a hiccup (highly 
technical, I know), otherwise described as a very brief 
instant of hesitation under full acceleration. I intend to 
modify my ECU now that its getting warm again, and I 
want all to be well before I boost the boost. Please help.
BTW, thanks to all for the input on my brake question.

P.S. On the subject of street racing- don't, regardless of 
make. BMW drivers have no monopoly on driving 
stupidly. Several years ago in Salt Lake City a twin turbo 
RX-7 driver died attempting to show up a 5.0 driver.
