Engineered Kits

>> Not really. Details please. What are the specs of this AWSOME kit? What
shocks? What spring rates? Who makes the springs? How much? Funny, it
seems to me that I recall it being a "collection of parts". I thought that
was bad thing?

I hope you realize that Eric is suggesting a combination of Spring, Shock and
any required
hardware (e.g: new mounting point hardware) that an engineer has done all the
homework on
already. I think its a great idea, since most modified suspensions I've
experienced
have been worse than stock.

If you have the time, desire and knowledge to really engineer the system, then
you
are doing exactly that. Most people have not nearly enough data to do a good
job.
Do you, for instance, know the compression rate of the rubber deflection
bushings
in the subframe? No? Pity.

My best ever was a full Bilstein sport kit, with lowered springs and all new
struts (not carts). It had great control and was actually more comfortable than
the stock springs with any number of performance shocks. Unfortunately not
made for most Audis.
