Re: Supercharged 4.2 V8

Unfortunately its not mine

Its running stock apart from the charger running 5lb boost

Its running a single supercharger. It looks very similar to a Sprintex, but
its made in Sweden, no obvious branding on it.
>Have you fitted intercoolers? How does the piping routed?
The charger is mounted fairly high up where the coolant tank used to be. A
fabricated alloy duct runs over to an air/water intercooler mounted where
the washer bottles were then back to the manifold.

As far as I know, the fuel delivery & ignition is stock, will be
modifidied when the car goes to the track.
other mods done for the supercharging, new coolant tank & supplementary
radiator.
Heat is a major issue, hence the "turbo coating" for the headers. I think
that this will not be enough. I dont know what the actual temp in the
engine compt. is, but filthy hot is an apt description. The engine runs hot
around town too, 100c indicated after a quiet 5 min run to my office.
The car looks great, its been lowered to the point that there is maybe
10-12mm between tyre & wheel arch. Way too low according to the list
experts, but still looks great. It'll be interesting to see how it handles
on the track.
I'll take my camera to the track, any website volunteers?
btw this project was originally going to cost between A$5 & 8k, the bill so
far 20k, mostly labor
