I suspect the valve seals as well.

And as for the oil;  I use Mobile-1 10w/30 and the temp was about 40F.

I think you may be on the right track Glen. I was idling for about ten
minutes, but I was on line for about forty minutes.  I would start my car
and move up with the line and then shut it off. I was only idling for the
last less then ten minutes before it was my turn to get inspected. The
car was definitely not hot because there was still steam coming out of
the tailpipe along with the blue smoke. So I think that the valves are
suspect. I do hear a bit off noise coming from the top of the engine.
