Anal retentive detailing question
I haven't owned many cars with leather in them (rare option on VW's),
so I have a question about my leather steering wheel.
There are small scuff marks all over the wheel. As near as I can
guess the fellow that owned the car before me was married and I'm
guessing that a ring did the damage. The question is, is there any
product out there that will take out these marks? The leather itself
looks a little scratched so I guess a repair is out of the question,
but perhaps something that will glaze over and help blend in the
marks (they show up as beige or tan on the black steering wheel).
BTW, I know this problem may seem petty to some. Whining about a
marked up steering wheel while my fellow listers are failing
emissions tests, being doused with gasoline and having to
open their doors with string attached to the inside of the car.
Trust me when I say that I feel your pain. There has been too much
strife on this list, too much anger. Perhaps by answering this post
we can begin anew. Flush with the knowledge that somewhere in the
Southeastern United States, a man will be getting into his Audi Coupe
and will know longer have to stare at little marks on his steering
wheel, and that you did something to help him. That's right...YOU!
You can go to sleep, wherever you might be, knowing that with each
turn of the steering wheel, with each glance at the proud four rings
emblazoned on the hub, you have helped make my life a little better.
Will you join me? Will you help rebuild this list? This country?
This fellowship of mankind?
Keep Hope Alive.
I love you all
