Audi and the Tiptronic! In the U.S.? Yes! This IS the first Audi in
America ever to offer the Tiptronic, right!?? I have always wanted to
see it make it over the pond, but like every other great Audi option,
engine choice, or model we have always missed out. All we need now is
the 'S' version of the turbo A4, or better yet, an 'S' of the new A6
powered by a twin-turbo 5-valver and either a 6-speed or a Tiptronic.
I know the Tiptronic is currently only available on the automatics, but
<< WARNING: theory question! >> is that a mechanical dead-end, or can
the manual transmissions be modified to have a 'drive' or 'Tiptronic'
gear in addition to gears 1-5 and R so that all forms of shifting are
available: fully auto in 'Drive', Tiptronic in 'Drive', or old-fashioned
manual OUT OF 'Drive'?
Just my opinion, but I think the new A6 is growing on me, and I see
more GREAT lines and shapes every day. If one minor change was made to
the car it would be ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS! I believe if the taillights
could have been shaped like a tall, slightly tilted oval, or an '0'
wrapped around the verticle corner of the quarter panel and tilted like
a \ towards the front of the car(similar to MB's E class's taillight),
the rear would ALSO be GORGEOUS. But right now as it sits, my eyes are
drawn directly to the taillights and then I go cross-eyed, while ON
LIGHT COLORED A6s I also see the bogus joint of the lower bumper
moulding piece(black) and the body-colored bumper and am immediately
rendered blind! ;-(

Is that not absolute hogwash! You should have given "the 'it's got
balls' award" to Volvo instead of Ford for that robbery.

Looks stunning in the commercial on the tele(uh oh, startin' to type
like Phil). Is it stunning or is it slightly awkward and big in the
rear?

Thanks for your BW and your HOs
