As a British ex-pat here in the colonies :-), I do miss the humor!!
Trouble is the damn lawyers here think that everyone is stupid!!
They would have to have disclaimers on the commercial saying 
"Professional Driver, closed course, inverted camera, no animal injured 
during filming etc etc"

When the brake switch went on our A4q (I posted that story Saturday) 
our parts manager said that the whole interlocking brake light, brake 
switch, auto gearbox thing was handled by a committee of lawyers and 
this was what they came up with (with reference to the unintended 
bullcrap 60 minutes hatchet job). This was after I asked about why 
there wasn't a shift-lock override mechanism. I said that other 
manufacturers had an override mechanism available should the system 
fail (our Mazda had one). He said one word "Lawyers"!!
