No transfer case. Front transaxle/dif, center and rear differentials.
Ring and pinion gearing is as old and reliable as the hills.
Center dif doesn't even need those. Inherently much simpler,
stronger and lighter than transfer case approach needed to interface
driveline stuff to standard transmission output shaft arrangement.
