Unintended Acceleration Sources (sorta)

About a hundred years ago I had a 1975 Audi Fox Wagon. Correct me if I'm
wrong --as if I have to ask this list :>)-- but as I recall, one of the
auto transmission tests described in the shop manual involved warming up
the engine, installing a pressure gage on some 'transmission thingy',
putting the card in Drive, your left foot on the brake peddle, and
FLOORING the accelerator.

>From this test, It would seem that, regardless of what the engine
decided to do on its own, the brakes could veto it ... assuming someone
got around to applying them...
and assuming that later model Audi brakes were at least as good as the 75
Fox.
