If NOt D60s, Than What?
My '89 100q is getting beyond desperate for tires.
If one take the recent posts about the D60s as sufficient reason to look
at other options, what are those options?
Tires do not need to be all season--I intend to buy 4 snows next
winter--probably won't spend the $$$$ on Hakkias, but 4 snow tires
nevertheless.
Folks at tire Rack recommend the Bridgestone Potenza RE 71 at $83 the
tire plus shipping. A friend who is a Japanese car mechanic is a big fan
on Yokohama, especially the AVS Intermediate.
Thoughts? These are strictly street tires, a pretty good mixture of in
town and highway.
Also thought about doing a +1 sizing and going to 16" wheels with
205/50/16 rubber. Anyone done that? Suggesitons, recommendations. I
know the car does not have the power to make use of 16" rubber, but I
always thought the prime directive was to be cool at all times.
THanks.
