I just replaced mine. It was squishy for several months, then when I
checked it one day, it was completely disinegrated. It cost $85 US from
Linda at Carlsen. I would suggest that like mine, it is full of gummy oil
residue that has deteriorated the inside, and its only a matter of time
before it falls apart. Mine went first on the underside just beyond the 90
degree bend, where it lay on top of another hose. This was hard to replace.
Don't even try to insert the canister at the "t" joint into the "t" in
place. Disconnect the canister on both ends, insert canister into "t", then
re-insert the canister into original hose. This will make more sense when
you do it.

New O2 solved this for me. My O2 was slow, therefore sent delayed info to
computer. Car ran rich also. I got close to 27 MPG on the trip computer
yesterday on a 90 mile trip to Rockingham Dragway. Major improvement in
mileage, performance, and acceleration. (BTW, funny cars are faster than I
ever imagined. I went with my friend who's a master mechanic and has
piddled with this stuff for years. We spent a lot of time in the pits. The
technology involved in drag racing is way over the top. My hats off to
mechanics that can tear an engine down and rebuild it in front of your eyes
in an hour.)
