V8 Breather Hoses
Did a oil change this morning, and when running the engine afterwards,
I noticed a substantial intake hissing noise. Poked around and found
that the hose that appears to run under the Intake Manifold and connects
to close by the idle stabilizer, was broken.
I looked on the microfiche and I found 3 breather hoses.
At 150K Miles, I suppose I should have changed them as a matter of course
when I changed all of my radiator hoses.
Is it required to remove the Intake manifold to change the three?
Will any damage occur to the motor if I drive it in this condition until
the repair can be made?
On my 86 5KCSTQ, the breather hoses were rotted at 100K miles.
Any tips would be appreciated.
