I can't speak to this switch in particular, but microswitches are
designed with mechanical hysteresis in order to make positive contact.
The switch from my 1988 90q is of this type.
By the way, it doesn't dismantle well. Mine comprises 3 parts. The
rear third, black, with cable, is potted with epoxy. The middle part,
black, contains the switch contacts and spring parts. The front part,
gray, mounts the lever and plunger, and is attached to the back part
by internal (potted) machine screws.
If anyone cares, I can report where to drill, very carefully, to put
contact cleaner onto the contacts. (I wrecked mine finding out.)
