If he got the road hazard warranty, they should replace it.   IF not, I 
wouldn't worry about it at all.   I doubt you lost your speed rating.  
Look on the side of the tire - I'll bet it still says "ZR"  :-)

Yep, these tires have very stiff sidewalls and fairly stickey rubber, so 
they follow all the imperfections in the road.   I have that same size
D40M2s and it is pretty "lively" on a rutted road.   You hafta pay attention.
