My dad had a 67 convertable barracuda he come home one night and said "I
hear a thump
coming from the front end." We get a flashlight and find a new pair of
craftsman needle
nose pliars wedged betweed the spring and A arm. Still have the pliars, must
have come
from the factory as he had not had any work done to the car at that time. Jim

It may be as simple as this: you may have had a UFO (F = foreign)
stuck in your running gear and rubbing against a wheel, etc.. When
it came loose, you heard it ricochet off the wheel well. Did you
leave a flashlight or a tool under there a while back? Just hope that
the Mother Ship doesn't get report of this.
