Be sure and replace the cotter pin with a _new_ one.  back in my younger
days, i did some brake work on my 70' campmobile and reused the cotter pin
in the big nut... a few week later, barreling down the I going ~70, the
driver's side rear tire/rim/brake drum assembly _falls off_!  never found
the tire, had to replace my underwear.
