Hasn't stopped some others. Though I'm being unkind - they mean well,
and every post helps me think a little more around the subject. There
are just so few of these cars around and so many variations on the
others that you never know where the same dumb Audi tricks will turn up.
I'm grateful for everyone's efforts, really. I don't feel so alone.
If you _really_ want to watch someone struggle - take an MB to a dealer.
I'm really seem to be out on a limb here - I have every factory manual
ever produced, as far as I know, and none of them discuss the operation
of the MB's system and control pressure regulation system. Some of the
MB's documentation actually contains drawing of the components but
doesn't identify them.
Still, I've now got two working sets of the important bits, and I can
switch them over in less than an hour. I can therefore make some basic
measurements, compare their performance on the street, and maybe decide
to renew one or the other.
Thanks for the thought.
