Re: A4Q crosswind sensitivity

we've now done about 6k miles on our a4q1.8t .

my wife (who commutes 70 miles (round trip) in the car every day):
depending on the wind direction it can get buffeted by wind, but the
steering is so good that it's never a problem. it feels more susceptible
to cross winds than our volvo 850t wagon, but less susceptible than a
honda accord, ford mustang, or vw golf (other cars she has commuted in).

myself (who just got back from a 400 mile trip to the sierras in often
high winds): a wonderfully stable car that has fast and responsive
steering, i never felt worried that i would end up in another lane and
it was remarkbly easy to avoid the cars that were suffering in the cross
winds. the a4q is a joy to drive.....

comment:

crosswind susceptibility must be something that is very hard to compare
and, ultimately, judge. gusting will create one kind of effect, steady
wind another, and all the while it's only experience with other cars in
similar situations that provides a rule of thumb.
