Yup.

8.6:1 - 2.23 litres, hydraulic tappets, water-cooled turbo.

Yup. And two knock sensors. MAC-12.

1988. Engine manufacture started 9/87.

Yup. Know it well.

Only fuel filter is under the rear passenger seat. No test connectors
that I can see in the engine compartment.
The microfiche are screwy. The parts fiche refers to this valve as
just "VALVE". The wiring diagram calls it a "Taktventil", which is
what it is - a frequency valve - and the service microfiche calls it
a "noise suppressor", which is rubbish.
I have to revise my opinion of the system pressure control valve:
The leftmost of the three ports on the metering head is connected via
the frequency valve to the end of the system pressure control valve,
and this is also connected to the drain to the tank. I don't think this
has any function at the system pressure control valve - at this point the
fuel is not under pressure, and I think the function of the connection
is just that of a built-in T-piece to take fuel bled out of the system
by the system pressure control valve.
