The adaptive learning capability of the Audi automatic transmission in not
cumulative. It begins from every key-off start at a fixed baseline and
"learns" your driving behavior on that trip only. Even then, it is not
cumulative. It operates on sort of a running average of how you have been
driving "lately" and also responds to quick throttle inputs that exceed a
prescribed threshold. So you can flog the car every day, for thousands of
miles, but the next time you start it, it won't remember a thing.
