5KT : Intermittent high idle

For the past few weeks, my '85 5KT (142K) has been exhibiting
intermittent high idle (~1100 -1200 rpm), but I've always been
able to get it down to normal by tapping the accelerator briefly.
The situation has deteriorated in the past few days -- now it
sometimes starts idling at about 3000 rpm (which comes down
to about 1500 with the transmission in D), and refuses to
come back down until I shut down and restart the engine.

The engine's running like a top otherwise, and the idle's
	usually rock-steady.

Recent repair history -- new ISV, a couple of new hoses, 3
new injectors (which fixed a nasty power-loss problem). No
obvious vacuum leaks, but the boost gauge has been reading
0.8 bar at idle after these repairs.

Any ideas? I took off the ribbed rubber duct on the fuel distributor
and sprayed carb cleaner into the cavity yesterday -- the plate in
the throat (which meters air, right?) was covered with reddish
residue, and the engine does seem to run better now. But the
idle problem is still there ...

	TIA!
