Coupe GT temperature norm?? and other ???s

Folks,

Hey, I can't shake the feeling that my Coupe runs warm. The needle
stays at the second mark from the red, most of the time. I have
replaced the thermostat and coolant.

I thought it was the radiator needing to be rodded out, but I put the
one from my '85 Coupe (which ran cooler than the '86 does) in it tonite,
and it seems to be the same. Could it be that my fan switch is not
working good. It does come on. The switches are different between the
two Coupes. The '86 has a plastic plug, and the '85 has two male spade
connectors sticking out. BTW, the plugs for the fans were different,
too. Hard as hell to plug in when they're different!

Is there anything else besides the thermostat, coolant, and radiator
that would cause it to do this? Is my water pump bad? No, it's not
leaking. It's soon to be replaced with the cam/timing belt/lifters, so
I will soon rule that out, too.

AND, has anyone had a pressure plate go bad on them? What are the
symptoms? I think that's what's wrong with my Coupe, not the clutch
itself.

AND, ever since I replaced the cat with a "different" one, I noticed
that in fifth gear on the freeway, there is a vibration. Like a groan
or a moan. Only in fifth. Not in fourth at the same vehicle speed or
engine speed, that I can tell. The cat I replaced was touching the
floor of the car, so the engine may have shifted upon it's removal. The
new cat doesn't touch the car at all. I think my engine mount(s) need
adjustment. Is there an adjustment for the rear? I know how to do the
front, but the front keeps the rear from going down, not up. Right?

**sigh** Somebodies help me!
