You can build a holding tool pretty easy. I welded a 1" long piece of large
pipe to a piece of 1/4" x 3" x 12" metal, then cut a hole in the strap
corresponding to the inside of the pipe (so you can get a socket through it)
then weld a lump on the outside of the pipe so it won't turn in the pulley.
If done right, this can be inserted into the pulley - and as the engine
is rotated with the socket on the pulley-nut, the end of the tool will
come against something and prevent further rotation. Then, put a lot
of pressure on the socket on the pulley-bolt - takes about a 3' bar which
is kind of a problem unless the nose of the car is WAY up in the air.
