Re: Hot Coupe

When I drove the Fox in traffic regularly I really didn't care for the
fact that the temp gauge was bordering on overheating when the rad fan
would turn on. I was planning to install an auxiliary switch on the dash
that would allow me to manually run the fan when I was driving home in
traffic. Before I had a chance to do so I had the radiator start to leak
at the seams. I replaced the radiator with a Modine all metal unit and
found that the better heat conduction to the switch made the rad fan come
on at a lower indicated temp on the gauge. I found the same to be true
on my '88 5kTQ when I replaced the radiator with a Modine all-metal unit.

IUD!
