Wheel bearings
Last inspection I had the mechanic informed me that the *pop* I heard
coming from the right front tire was a wheel bearing. He predicted
that it would get noisier and start to howl after a while. His
prediction was dead accurate and so I was wondering how difficult it
was to change a wheel bearing. Do I need any special tools? I
guess I should change both front or is that unnecessary? Is this a
job for a mechanical newbie or should I let a mechanic do it? The
Bentley procedure looks deceptively simple but it also includes
special tools.
TIA
Jon
