This is not how I learned it in traffic school. It also applies to an
officer clocking with radar with another officer that pulls you over. In
that case, if one officer is sitting clocking speed and another makes
the stop, again the ticket must have two signatures on it. Often the cop
that stops you will ask you to wait while the other drives over to also
sign the ticket. As I was taught to understand it you do not have to
wait but who's going to argue the point?
Steve may be correct here. My information is old and may be out of
date. I will ask my police officer friend to see if he knows the current
code.
