Not the clutch. The shift mechanism would wear out pretty quickly, though.
I know the Dutch term for the exact part in the gearbox that would be
stressed, don't know what the English term is. Selector forks?

They do say in most manuals (accurately, I might add) that leaving your
foot on the clutch pedal would wear the clutch prematurely.
