Fire in the hole! (Re: Ripp thread)
Greetings fellow listers!
I think its about time for somebody to bring out the Halons...senior listers?
I've been quite amused by the digests I've been receiving lately. Yeah, I am
irritated too by the wasted bandwidths --- but we all learn some things the
hard way.
Internet communication is one of them, so please be tolerant for some fellow
listers.
Audi enthusiasts are diverse bunch of "from the gut" car fanatics. We define
what
an automobile should be, not the automobile defining us. Of course, it comes
with it the sheer frustation of trying to make the car go faster, handle
better, and
actually sometimes just make it start.
The caveat however in owning an Audi is the task of unraveling its technical
Gordian knots, i.e. electrics, diffs, codes. So it is a pleasant surprise
when once in
a while we can come across folks who are able to unravel Audi knots and
define it
the way they want to be.
This list I think should be inclusive, not exclusive. Just because someone
was using
caps to express his opinion is not a ground already for flaming him. This
might
rather sound a lame excuse, but I actually saw Ross car three years ago when
he
started working on it and I believe some fellow listers would just have
turned away
and start looking for another 5K to work on. In short, let's wait for the
article in Turbo
magazine before we start flaming him for a non-existent car. The car was
actually
a work of a pop and son who kept quiet for 3 years about their work. It is
not a
multi-million dollar racing corporation but rather a regular garage who if
you want
your Chevy souped-up they will do it for you, but you have to wait because
the beloved 5K needs a bigger intercooler.
The caps I think was meant to express sheer exuberance in that they defined
their
5Ktq the way they want it to be. I would have shouted too, if I finally was
able to
finish what I started 3 years ago.
I do not intend to start a thread on this one, so please e-mail me at:

Happy motoring folks!
