Audi (euro specs)

First of all, as a new member on this list I'm getting a hang of how this
works. I like the plethoria of information flowing through my mail box, and
how I can listen to others argue, discuss and reveal new information on
hard-to-find parts in the formidable US (that always exclude euro spec parts
for whatever reasons like headlamp washers, foglamps in bumper, etc) in
earlier audis. I had a real issue about why we were the only one in the world
to degrade the Audi engineers of a perfect car. Anyway, now I have the two
cars with Euro specs, that's getting back at the formidable walls.

My question is where can I find stone guards for the 'square-rigged' type
Audis from 1978 to 1983, to protect the Euro lens from those @#&^%&$% stones
that pop every five mins in Seattle? Drive Nord to Canadien and buy parts
there? That's my guess. I've a Euro spec front bumper with fog lamps and rear
ones to find up there for my '78 100. The '81 200 has a bent chrome trim in
the rear (due to blind post that I ran to and smashed my Euro spec tail
light) and once any chrome trim bends (like windshield trims) they never can
return to their original state.

Anyway, I don't know if anyone else has the same predicament like I have on
the othe side of the pond. If I were in Germany then this letter wouldn't
even see cyber day light. ;-)
