I often test my car to see how fast it will go on a straight level road
at zero boost. Typically, I get 105mph, plus/minus a couple mph.
Seems then that the 5KCSTQ needs about 110hp to run 100mph.
On our trip to Buffalo last weekend, I used the cruise control a few
times, to relax my sore knee. Seems like the computer wasn't expecting
all the new-found hp, because a few times it really got into the boost
going up hills, but it always backed off just enough, so apparently it is
damped enough to handle the power. I just couldn't help but wonder what
those little electrons in there thought when they got that unexpected
kick in the proton... :-)
