HAHAHAHAHA! Repair cost comparison? There is none. If you are that worried
about repair costs, don't buy the audi. Repairs, compared to GTi's (and even
Coupe GT's) are phenomonally more expensive. Exa. Rear caliper. New, over
400. Rebuilt, I paid 238 a side. Tie rods, 128 a piece for the rear. All the
suspesion for the car is expensive to fix, because it is rare (all
independent, unlike the coupe) I own a GTi and a 4000CS quattro (and a Coupe
GT) The Quattro has 115K. I have about 6 grand in the car. The GTi hit
245,700 today. I have 2200 in the car, and about half that is go fast stuff
(wheels, fogs, exhaust, GLI interior) The quattro broke down more (well, not
broke down, but needed fixing.) More stuff to break. Insurance for me (19)
is about the same, I pay 1800 for the 3 cars (i can only drive one, others
for theft, vand, and fire.) So I drive the GTi to keep the 4000 nice and
because it costs less.
Kwattro
Don;t get me wrong, the 4000 is about 50 times nicer than a comparable GTi.
