If your windo swiches are similar to mine, here is something that will
fix the switches and so you won't have to replace them (there have
actually been a few post on this).

I use a product called Tuner Control from Radio Shack, stock #64-4315.
It runs about $9 a can.  Spray it into the switch and work the switch
5-10 times and this will eliminate the carbon build up and allow the
connection to happen and then you won't have any problems.  I did this
about 2-3 years ago and haven't had a problem with my window switches
since.
