Back in the saddle again

Well, after 6 Audi-less weeks, I'm finally back driving my 100Q
again. While this may seem an all-too-familiar story on this list,
this time, the mechanical infirmity was mine.

As some of you know, 6 weeks ago I busted my arm skiing just
a *bit* too fast at Sunday River. Unfortunately, it was my
right arm that busted, and both of my Quattros are sticks.

So, I've spent 2 weeks not driving, and 4 weeks in a POS Ford
Aspire rental car with 145-80-13 (12?) tires, an engine roughly
the size of my lawnmower, and a slushbox, and does 0-60 with 24
hours' advance notice.

To top it off, a few days after surgery, my EuroLights arrived,
courtesy of Tom Nas.

Just wanted to take this moment to let you know how much you should
appreciate the simple act of driving your quattros, whether it's a
long spirited drive through the mountains, or just your daily commute.
I know I appreciate mine just a little more now.
