Finishing touches

I should soon be getting my 200 back from the body shop soon, as I can
see the light at the end of the tunnel. This Liberty Mutual thing has really
gotten to me, but at last things are getting done. And a little
extra........
I would like to know if anyone knows how to bring the older original
paint up to par with the new paint on my car, or at least close? Is there
some way to buff the daylights out of it without those nasty swirls? I have
a black car, and it shows all those imperfections. Dusk and dawn are the
prime times for me, but mid-day in the summer can prove sketchy. I miss that
soft smooth paint that I used to have. Is there something that the dealer
could do or should do while they are re-doing the body work?

P.S. Come to think of it, the day it rolled down the driveway, I had spent
a few hours buffing and detailing it. Does anyone else have this syndrome
that I do: It seems every time I make a repair or an improvement something
else more expensive or disasterous happens?
