Re: 5000 Non-Turbo Quattro
I bought a 87 5000S quattro about 5 weeks ago. Mine has all the same
options as most of the 5000CS quattros that I looked at, with the
exception of the turbo (duh!!), the trip computer and rear heated seats.
I originally wanted a turbo as well, but I couldn't find one that hadn't
been badly beaten, and then not taken care of. Everyone needed thousands
of dollars in parts alone. My 5000S needed hand brake cables, other than
that it is like new. Mine also has the 130HP NF engine, which makes the
car very spirited and is quite a bit simpler than the turbo engine, which
is a plus since I plan on taking care of it myself.
