Did that with a damaged one on my car last year. Had a h*ll of a time
getting it to come off.

In my case: dealer. There might be good mail order sources in the US.

Mine are glued and attached with double-sided tape. 200% overkill- I ended
up heating it with an electric paint stripper gun on low setting, and
putting my considerable weight into getting it to come off. Took me two
hours of tugging, and then another 1.5 hour of trying to get the residue of
the #@$%$% double-sided tape off.

No problem, as long as you don't use sharp objects to get the stuff off. I
believe from other comments (and sincerely hope so, for your sake) that US
market cars have less adhesive behind those strips.
