can't open door

The external approach (using a "Slim Jim") is the best.  Around here, I can 
usually find a friendly police officer to do it for me.  Otherwise, the
AA/RAC patrols will do it.
 
But I'm slightly surprised that the rear door trim cannot be removed from 
inside the car.  Rear seat out, etc., not possible?
