Re: RI Audi Q's for sale...

It was sold, but it looked nice. I don't think it was actually a quattro,
though. It had what looked like a 4000Q rear spoiler, and no Q badge on the
front, although it did have the BBS's and rear badge. Was this an early 80?
I thought they all had the box spoilers>>

$4000.00 for a clean serviceable 90q is not a bad deal...but not a great one
either and this car does sound like one to pass on. Yes, the 4kq style
spoiler was on the 80q. Front badges fall off sometimes. The things to look
for (besides simply looking under the rear end for a differential<g>) are the
quattro in the rear window defroster (whatta cool feature!) and on the little
rear side windows to verify if it is real. 10v 80 and 90 q's are the same
except for cosmetics from what I recall. BTW, I like the 4kq's better for fun
factor, but the 80/90 series were great highway cars! My ex and I did CA to
NY and back in ours doing 700-800 miles/day in total comfort and getting over
31mpg!
