Re: high pitched whistle after new turbo install



Was anything changed?  I.E larger cold side, different hot side...  I found
that my tweeked units tend to whistle some, and it goes lighter as the car
heats up and the rpm's increase.  You might want to try running regular dyno
oil thru the crankcase for a couple oil changes to help bed the bearings.
 Haven't heard of this with a stock turbo, but always with the tweeked ones.
 The rebuilt one, was it yours or a core?  Either way, if the fans were
clipped to eliminate the chips on the blades, you might get the whine as a
side effect.
