ABSOTIVELY!
When I replaced my marginal fuel pump (OK, so marginal it failed),
my car ran better, started better, idled better, and was a lot more
pleasant to be in.
I just replaced Angela's fuel pump (this time before it failed),
and got the same result. Also, her mysterious off-throttle stalling
problem has disappeared.
These fuel systems are very sensitive to correct pressures. Marginal
fuel pumps don't keep the pressure where it ought to be. Clogged fuel
filters (which usually get replaced w/pump) cause this, too.
