Re: Gold Ur-Q in Belmont, MA?

Hi folks,

> Anyone here own this gem, parked along Route 2 in Belmont, Mass?

That is Rob Houk's car. Rob used to be a heavy-duty contributor to
the list with some serious technical accumen. I haven't seen a post
from him for quite some time. Either he's just lurking now (if you're
out there Rob, email me and we'll do lunch) or he's unsubscribed and
doing other things with his time besides tinker with his ur-q. Rob
was enthusiastic about the car for a while, but I think he eventually
got frustrated and disenchanted with it. Which I can definitely
understand. He's put some serious money and time into that car and
he's probably just sick of dealing with it. The last time I talked
to him he was creating a new ignition and fuel curve for some ungodly
boost level.

His car has a new head, watercooled turbo, Schrick 272, Borla
exhust, Abt/Koni suspension, Abt gauge pod, and a bunch of
custom tweeks. Trick wheels, too.

For the old timers on the list, his posts would often contain
references to his old Lotus Europa. "...back when I had my
Lotus europa...". That guy.
