Nope, you saw a relic: the Cabriolet, as it's called, is based on the old
80. In the US, it can be had with auto trans only, and quattro isn't an
option even in Europe. The most remarkable version here is the TDI
Cabriolet with direct-injected turbodiesel engine.

It's getting quite popular here: I saw three last week. One even had the
top down.
