After a 3-year hiatus, I am back on the list. I recently purchased a
1987 5000CSTQ with 123,000 miles. This will be my 3rd Audi:
1988 5000S 5-spd
1990 Coupe Quattro
I purchased this car as a second vehicle to use primarily for business
(other is a 92 Corrado SLC). I know I should probably leave the car
stock, but I can't resist! So...any assistance that the group can
provide in the following area's would be greatly appreciated.
1. Wheel/tire package-I would like to go with a 225 50 16, but tire rack
says it will not fit.
2. Boost enhancement- IA quoted me $799 for a stage 1 upgrade good for
220hp. This price seems very steep to me and I doubt that a CPU upgrade
alone is good for 50+ hp.
