Ur q rear calipers.

Today I pulled my rear brakes from the ur q to ensure that the big vented V8
rear calipers will fit before I send the parts to be powder coated.  They fit
better than the originals!  Why?  The ur q rear calipers are a modified early
5kt (to '83) caliper with an adapter bracket and lever added.  You could pull
the bracket off and use it on a '82 5kt for example, or vice versa.

You can install ANY 4k, 5k, 200, V8, etc. calipers on the back of an ur q as
long as you use the correct park brake cable, or modify the lever on the
caliper slightly for the hook on the original cables to slip on.  I sized up
Girling 36, 38, and 41/43 (200 20V, V8) calipers and they all fit.  Yeah, I
have a few extra sets of brakes...

Just thought someone might want to know.
