I just tried it from Netscape 3.01 for Windows 3.1.  It behaved perfectly.

I didn't know you were an OS/2 user.  I suppose it could be considered to be 
the ur Quattro of Operating Systems!

1.5 decades ago, during my training it was also a no-no.  It's amazing what 
crap we put up with these days from flakey operating systems and buggy 
applications.
