A6 coupe spy photo in AutoWeek

The May 19, 1997 issue of AutoWeek arrived today.
On page 8 of this issue there is a computer-enhanced spy photo
of what is claimed to be a two-door coupe based on the new
soon to be launced A6 (eg. the new 1998 model.)
Price supposed to be on the pricey side at $40,000.
The car is said to be expected to debut in the fall of 1998.

The article does not offer any information about the
possibility of such a car being sold in the USA.

My personal opinion is that the car in the photograph looks
more like an A4 than it does an A6 (new or old.)
